Heads up, hero! You're gonna need three things for chem lab this semester: a LAB MANUAL, a LAB NOTEBOOK, a COMBINATION LOCK, and a CALCULATOR.
Lab Manuals are available for $14.65 at the Co-op along the back wall. You must have the Spring 2007 edition with the blue and white cover (see picture below). Buy yours early because the Co-op WILL run out!
Lab notebooks like the one pictured below are $15 at the Co-op or from the Duplicating office in the main hallway of Welch (room 2.228). You don't have to have that exact same kind, but the one you get must have DUPLICATE, NUMBERED pages. You will need one with 100 pages. Buy yours early because the Co-op WILL run out. If you go there and they don't have any, run run run as fast as you can to Welch and buy one from the Duplicating office. DO NOT let the Co-op staff talk you into ordering one from them and waiting a week to get it. Their grade will not suffer if you don't have one on time, but yours will.
You can buy a combination lock from the Co-op for $5 in aisle 7, or just buy one anywhere that fine personal security devices are sold. Make sure your calculator does exponents and logs. Don't show up with a business calculator that will amortize your mortgage in two easy steps but won't allow you to calculate pH if your life depends on it. And don't show up with a little, pink Hello Kitty calculator that gives off a high-pitched beep every time you press a button. (I know I shouldn't have to say these things, but guess what happens when I don't...) |
